It’s Okay to Try

It’s okay to be intentional with what you do. Continue to try even when you feel stuck, lost, or unmotivated.

When you find yourself slipping into negative thought patterns, fear, hesitation, procrastination, or overthinking, stop for a second and create a positive/helpful intention for yourself. Whether this be a simple affirmation: “I am safe,” or a plan of action: “I will drink some water and reach out to my friend today,” creating pockets of reassurance and abundance can help move you out of spaces of lack and stagnancy.

Light your own path as you continue to work through the challenges of every day. Build peace within yourself by taking advantage of every moment. You are in control. Be in control.

Setting Intentions: What Are Your Themes for 2022?

Setting My Intention

The words that are themes for me this year, in 2022, are “intuition” and “boundaries.

As I actualize myself this year in confidence and freedom, I will listen and pay attention to my needs, wants, desires and intuition. I step forward with better understanding of my thoughts, behaviors, habits and growth. I continuously attract what is for my highest good and take opportunities that are best for me.

I am kind to myself as I navigate through tough emotions like frustration, shame, guilt and anger and I do so with grace and compassion for myself.

I grow in awareness of how to create safe and comfortable spaces for myself and do so regularly.

I am worthy of love and balance. I create the reality I deserve.

I welcome peace every morning. I am ready for each day.

Your Turn!

Set a new year intention:

What word or words are your themes for 2022?

What affirmation, mantra, or agreement can you create and practice to help you to remember and stick to your intention?

Flip the Narrative

Flip the narrative.
Change the scrip.

Take control and craft what you want to create. Speak up. Vibrate higher, stronger, louder in every moment.

The thoughts, behaviors, habits, actions and perspective that kept you stuck in destructive patterns no longer hold space in your life.

Things are different.

You are abundant, successful, and walking in your power.

Its time. You’re ready.

Speaking with Intention

Speaking with intention is the first step to manifestation. With talent, skill, and ambition comes bravery and courage to go for what you know you can accomplish. “I can” and “I want” are statements of intention and confidence. Your interests are the gateway to your purpose. Your excitement is the key to that gateway. Empowerment is in the journey of clarity.

You are all you need to step into your season of power.

Speak with intention.

Listen to yourself and how you feel.

Clarity will come when you listen.

Affirmation: I am stepping into my season of clarity, power, and purpose.

Pencil Case Prompts: Goals Help Us Feel Good

When we think of goals, we may sometimes think of big and complex ambitions or what we can work toward to be successful and make something of ourselves. Although this is a part of what can make a goal “feel fulfilling”, its not the only way to view, create, or approach goal setting. Goals are what we make of them. A goal can be simple, complex, big, small, intentional, unintentional, noticeable, or unnoticeable; goals are what help us to feel good about who we are.
Washing the dishes, brushing our teeth, watering our garden, drinking more water, getting out of bed, and even reflecting are also goals we can set and achieve daily. Whatever helps us feel refreshed, fulfilled, satisfied, and accomplished are goals we unknowingly achieve on a day to day basis.

Activity

What self-care practice, routine, or habit can you do daily to help you feel fulfilled, satisfied, and accomplished?
Why are these activities or gestures important?

My Reflection

Four things I do daily that helps me feel accomplished and refreshed are:
1. Watering my plant.
2. Eating fruit.
3. Reflecting and writing.
4. Brainstorming creative ideas.
These gestures and activities help me to understand myself better and allow me to be gentle with my day to day expectations of myself. These goals help me to feel a sense of accomplishment through simplicity.

Pencil Case Prompts: Crafting a Superhero

Ever thought what it would be like to be a superhero? How would you go about crafting your superhero persona?

Activity

-What would you call yourself?
-What would your superpower be?
-What would be your catchphrase or superhero slogan?!
Feel free to be as creative as possible. You’re the superhero!

My Reflection

If I were a superhero, my name would be Empathycia and my superpower would be the ability to spread peace wherever I go and to whoever I speak to. My slogan would be “within every heart there is a capacity to feel and know peace.”

You Are A Complete Person

6 Truths About Worth:

-Your worth is defined by who you are, intrinsically. Nothing you “do” or “don’t do” can change your worth.
-Your worth does not fluctuate or change depending on who you are with or who you want to be with.
-You are worthy no matter what. There is nothing outside of you that can determine your worth.
-How someone treats you is reflective of them and not of you.
-Nothing and no one can take away your worth.
-Your worth will stay with you and will not leave. There is no need to prove your worth to anyone.

You are a whole person without anyone telling you or showing you. Being with someone does not validate your worth. You were worthy before them and you are still going to be worthy with them or after them.

You are complete.
You are enough.
You are necessary.
You are important.

A Letter of Power: I Choose Myself

Dear Nina,

You are valued and worthy.

There is no need to continue to adapt and adjust to other people’s needs while not receiving any love and support back.
There is no need to beg others to treat you with respect and continuously try to understand them while they are intentionally misunderstanding you.
There is no need to blame yourself every time something goes wrong.
There is no need to wait on someone else to see how much of a good person you are.
You do not need to wait for someone to make space for you when you continuously make space for them.
You do not need to be validated or to prove your worth.
When someone shows you over and over that they don’t care, believe them.
You value transparency, honesty, and support. Don’t accept anything less than what you deserve.
Keep your circle small with people who love you and care for you as much as you love and care for them.
Don’t give anyone excuses for their behavior not meeting the bare minimum standards.
Your worth is not dependent on how they treat you or their ability to change. They will not change. Choose you. You deserve to choose you every time.

With Love and Power,

Pencil Case Prompts!

One of the many exiting additions for my group, The Pencil Case, on The Mighty, is Pencil Case Prompts.
The goal of these prompts will be to to think, reflect, contemplate and share.

I will be sharing these prompts here on SparklyWarTanks with a link to the post on The Mighty!

Note: Pencil Case prompts are journaling prompts you can use for personal journaling or to answer in the comments for The Pencil Case Prompts posts. The prompt will always have two follow up question: What and Why to help us turn our thinking caps on!

Prompt 1

One thing that helps me to keep going is to remember random moments where I felt good. Some of those moments are moments where I accomplished/achieveved something and felt proud of myself or recalling my talents and things only I can do the way I do it.

Activity

What is an accomplishment, achievement or talent you are proud of?

  • What is the accomplishment, achievement, or talent?
  • Why is it important to you?

Note: There is nothing too big or too small to mention as an accomplishment, achievement, or talent.

Reflection

I know I mention this ALL THE TIME but I’m so proud of myself for 1. starting my brand and 2. expanding my brand to Motivation by SparklyWarTanks.
There was a point in my life where I didn’t think I would be anything or do anything worth mentioning. Being able to continuously work on something helps me in my darkest loneliest moments to remind myself that I CAN do what I SAY I can do.
