And so my self-awareness journey is great as I notice recurring patterns, in my actions and behavior, for when I can feel myself falling back into unhealthy ways of coping. I know when things aren’t going so well and need to take a step back. That time has come. It’s time I motivate myself to stand up, breathe, and take a break. As I would usually go into hiding at this stage, I won’t. I will declare that I can do this. I can get past this. I can and I will. I won’t give up and I will take care of myself. Even though I can see all the peoples faces staring at my struggle, not understanding the fears and pain that I face, I will care for myself above all. I will see myself as valid and dismiss any negative energy pushing me away from being better. I can. I can do this.

There is Something About You
We often get discouraged when coming to the realization that we have to be something. We all want to be someone. We want to feel needed and wanted. We want to crave waking up in the morning because we have a purpose. We want to feel that our life is something. We want to feel that we are here for a reason. We are often filled with anxiety when we see that time is passing and we aren’t achieving anything or impacting anyone. We question whether we have a purpose at all. Do we have a purpose?
Making something of yourself, feeling a sense of fulfillment, being passionate, feeling joy, feeling peace and comfort all combine to reveal what your purpose is. Having and building a sense of self is purpose. Finding yourself and being yourself makes who you are special. The energy you lets saturate a room with passion and happiness is a major manifestation of purpose. Purpose is happiness in your current state. Purpose is time and energy being used in something that betters the perspective of yourself and others.
Using whatever gift or talent you have (this can be a plethora of things) to work at self-fulfillment is what purpose is. The next time you find yourself discouraged because you feel you don’t have a purpose, remember that you and your life is already purpose. Work on building and empowering yourself. Purpose is already there. It’s just a matter of feeding the beast that is you and showing who you are to the world. Let’s hope they’ll be ready for you.

Bulletin Board August 2017: Moving Forward, Progression, and Transformation
Moving forward comes with transformation and letting go. Don’t feel guilty for being better and doing better. Take steps in progression.
In the process of transformation and moving forward:
- There are times where you will be uncomfortable.
- You will come face to face with your biggest battle/struggle/obstacle
- There will be pain
- You will be hurt
- Sometimes you will doubt yourself/something you thought you believed
- Your perception will change
- You will become liberated mentally/spiritually/emotionally
- Freedom will look differently
- You will understand more the challenges of others as well as your own
- You will ask questions
- You will be different
While you move forward and transform, there will be times where anxiety will strike you. You will notice that you see the world differently. Don’t be afraid of this realization. In that moment you have broke free from the chains of complacency.
A Beast is Born in the Metamorphosis
Move Forward
Open your Perspective
Opening up your perspective is uncomfortable. You’ll get confused, angry, bitter, and doubtful, but you will learn about yourself and the world you live in. You will become better and more accepting of people and ideas. Opening up your perspective will make you more comfortable with who you are and what you believe. Open your perspective.
SWT 100 Notes: Note 9
Note 9: While I’m waiting for my mighty story to get published on my explanation of what anxiety has been like for me, I’ll simply write this note on the importance and awareness of those who struggle mentally.
It isn’t fun to have any mental illness, but for me specifically anxiety has been at its worse. Overthinking, believing the negative thoughts, driving myself insane, its not intentional or a joke. At times its just dormant like its gone and as soon as a trigger comes, it awakens like a beast in its sleep. But, I would have to say that nothing is impossible and having new experiences coming my way has challenged me to learn to react to triggers. That in itself has helped and progressed me in my mental health healing.
As I continuously see mental health awareness come more and more out in the open, I would like to encourage those who struggle with their mental health to get help if you need to. Talk to someone. The person doesn’t even have to be a professional. Talk to someone who loves you. I’m always here to talk too! Don’t drown in the darkness of your mind.
A Collision of Dark and Light
I saw myself change in a matter of a year. The transformation drastic. I can recognize who I am now, when before it was blurry. With the change came progress and opportunities. With opportunities came decisions. As I sit between my past and my future, I can’t help to see the beauty in the collision between the darkness and the light. I still have what I was in me, but as I grow farther from it, I see the lesson, and that lesson is the mist. The light is waiting to take over the rest.
Bulletin Board June 2017: Talent and Creativity
Talent and Creativity

June was about finding one’s talents, accepting one’s process and understanding that everyone has a talent. Talent is in no way cliche and creativity is in no way general. Both talent and creativity is specific to the individual associated with that talent using their creativity. Everyone has a talent as a way and manifestation of their life and circumstances. Discover your talent as you discover yourself. Continue to discover and accept that you have something to offer. Be out of the box. Show someone, somewhere, that they are not alone, that your talent is a reflection of how you cope and dealt with your circumstance. By you showing your talent, someone else can find theirs.
SWT 100 Notes: Note 7
This is me. This is who I am. Understanding weak point and strong points in yourself. Realizing the type of person you are, the things you tend to do in specific circumstances, things you hate, people/places/phrases that motivate you, people/places/phrases that make you angry/bitter are a part of self-realizing. Once you see who you are then the process of healing will be that much clearer. To see, to realize, to notice, to understand calms your tension and helps to realize why things are the way they are. After you self-realize, and after you heal, the way you move, think, respond, and approach life will then also be changed and improved.
