Pencil Case Prompts: New Year Agreements and Goals

Activity

What is something you want to work on this year? What are some agreements you want to make with yourself?

My Reflection

For me, I agree to be gentle with myself and take one moment at a time. I choose peace and prioritize my health; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I want to work on feeling good about positive things happening to me and believing I deserve them when they happen. I believe in greatness for myself. I’ve worked so hard to make it this far.

Pencil Case Prompts: What do you want to leave in 2021?

Activity

As we move forward toward the end of the year into a new year, let’s reflect on all we’ve accomplished and the goals we’ve set.  Getting to this point is nothing short of amazing. I’m so proud of my Pencil Case family.
With celebrating wins and the creation of new goals also comes the things we want to leave behind us. The things that we don’t want to carry around anymore. What do you want to let go of? What do you want to leave in 2021?

My Reflection

Here is a list of what I want to leave in 2021:

  1. Self-doubt.
  2. The phrase ”I can’t”.
  3. Co-dependency habits.
  4. Any low-frequency thoughts that limit my power and potential.
  5. Not speaking up for myself or my needs.

Pencil Case Prompts: Choose a Writing Prompt

Activity

Choose a writing prompt!

  1. What are 5 people, places, things, or ideas you are grateful for?
  2. What do you want to improve before the end of the year?
  3. What is one thing you are looking forward to?
  4. Write a short letter or poem describing a time you learned a valuable lesson.

Note: Feel free to choose more than one writing prompt!

My Reflection

I would like to challenge myself and do all four prompts!

  1. My family, the opportunities I have to express myself creatively, my dogs, my healing journey, the lessons I’ve learned.
  2. I want to sleep 8 to 10 hours every night.
  3. I am looking forward to spending time with all of my siblings during the holiday season.
  4. Even with the world on my shoulders, I soared past the clouds carrying pounds of rainfall. Each drop is a day that’s gone by. I continue to fly ahead. I can keep flying. I choose to keep flying.

Pencil Case Prompts: Let’s Set Some Goals!

Activity

What are 3 goals you would like to set this month?

Note: Goals can be  simple, complex, changed or even adjusted as time passes. It’s totally okay if you decide that a goal you’ve set isn’t the right fit for you. Goals are about you and what you want to accomplish for yourself.

My Reflection

The three goals I would like to set this month are:

1. To be gentle with myself, prioritize my mental health, and not compare myself to others.

2. To work on my certification and complete 4 tests.

3. To remind myself every day that I’m worthy, I’m enough, I’m doing the best that I can, and just because something hasn’t happened doesn’t mean it will never happen.

Pencil Case Prompts: Fun Facts and Important Details

Activity

What is a fun fact or important detail about you?

My Reflection

A fun fact about me is I LOVE comfort items like pillows, soft blankets, and stuffed animals.

One important detail about me is that resting is really essential for my mental and physical health. Being highly sensitive,  I burn out quicker then others.

Pencil Case Prompts: What Is Your Favorite Quote, Affirmation, or Mantra?

Activity

What quote, affirmation, or mantra helps you to keep going?

Note: Feel free to share as many as you would like!

My Reflection

My favorite mantra is one that I created comparing myself to a butterfly!

It goes like this:
Like a butterfly, I allow myself to transform – transform more into who I am every day. I will learn through the challenges and never give up. I acknowledge that transformation takes time and patience. I am ready.
